April 7th.

Triumphal arch, that fill'st the sky
When storms prepare to part,
I ask not proud philosophy
To teach me what thou art; -
Still seem, as to my childhood's sight,
A midway station given
For happy spirits to alight,
Betwixt the earth and heaven.

Thomas Campbell

Yet another poem I hadn't read before! I do so love rainbows and this is such a sweet poem. Rainbows fascinate me.I have to stop whatever I am doing when ever one appears. There is something enchanting about seeing those colours woven through the sky! They need both the sun and the rain and then burst forth between the clouds to brighten your day.
